The Town of Camillus Police Department would like to encourage the parents of Camillus to become involved in the National Child Identification Program. According to a U.S. Department of Justice study, over 58,000 children are abducted each year.

Precautionary measures include keeping a complete description of your child, taking color photographs every six months, keeping copies of your child's fingerprints, a sample of DNA, and maintaining medical records and dental charts.

The Camillus Police Department provides FREE Child Identification cards for Camillus children. The program will record a digital fingerprint, a digital picture and your child’s identifying information.

We travel to several locations within the Town of Camillus to conduct Child Identification events. If you have any questions or would like more information on the next scheduled date, please call (315) 487-0102.
